The cost of success

To all you Investment banking employees and people who are aspiring to become an Investment banker did your success come at a price? I will explain the situation I am in.
I currently go to a non target with the hopes of doing a masters at a top university.I am doing a tough subject i.e chemistry, maths, engineering. I am living at home. I spent all my time either networking or studying and as a result I do not go out or meet up with my friends as often. This has resulted in having no proper friends at uni but I still meet up with my high school friends when they come back from uni in the major holidays.
I am quite lonely at uni and do not get the chance to meet girls. In a nutshell I am not "having fun at uni".
I am not getting the full university experience. I was wondering are any of you in the same situation or have been in the same situation in the past? What sacrifices have you made in the hunt for success?
I see other people at uni or talk to people that graduated and they all say it was the best time of their lives.
I can not feel that.

You can have fun at school and still accomplish your networking objectives. A lot of the people you go to school with probably know people or will know people by the time you graduate. In other words, networking isn't just work, have some fun and meet some people.

No, school was very easy. I hardly studied and got a good GPA so for me it did not come at a price. I also didn't network at all. Only time spent was interview prep.
