The state of AGC Partners

I've received an offer from AGC partners in Boston. I am more then fine with sweating if compensation is good and the culture is good. What is the most up to date info on comp and culture at this shop? Any input is incredibly helpful.

Based on previous WSO threads, AGC Partners has a mixed reputation. While the culture has been described as comradely in some instances, there are significant red flags noted by users. Specifically, one user mentioned that AGC Partners is the only bank they would issue a "gigantic red flag" for, which suggests serious concerns about the work environment.

Regarding compensation, there isn't specific data in the provided context, but the culture appears to be a critical factor to evaluate. The firm is known for being "sweaty," with analysts reportedly working weekends, which aligns with your expectations of a demanding workload. However, the overall sentiment about the culture seems divided, with some suggesting it might be improving.

If you're considering the offer, it would be wise to weigh the potential for professional growth and the firm's methodology in supporting junior staff. Assess whether senior team members invest in mentoring and whether the environment fosters collaboration or operates in silos. These factors could significantly impact your experience beyond just compensation.

Been some improvements recently, but realistically it’s just typical banking hours. An1 you’ll get like 150, An2 like 190-200. Internship is chill, analyst group is very tight knit. Not a bad place to start a career, but you won’t get your licenses.

What are the perks and benefits at AGC like? I.e. dinner, firm outings, uber, travel, etc?

bumping this -- i know lots of outings // wednesday dinner during the SA program but uber / dinner stipends is really what saves you a ton of money so would love to know.
