I just don't feel the need to spend the money.

Well, if you’ve ever been broke or lived with zero savings / paycheck to paycheck, you know how much of a relief it can be to finally finally have a financial cushion. Think of it as a cheat meal after a really grueling cut. After awhile though the extra fancy stuff doesn’t mean much, so splashing out isn’t a temptation.

Damn Mr. Bill Gates over here

jokes aside good for you

The first thing I did with my bonus was pay for food, rent, and headhunters after the firm axed my head like Hainan chicken. Then they had the audacity to ask me to come back after they hired a retard to replace me.... after I had spent all my bonus to survive! I made sure to properly give them the run around with fake bids on their sell-side mandates once I made it to the buyside. I'm talking months of work for zero ROI. That is how finance works, tits for tats.
