This Lady is why Ivey sends so many kids into banking

I've always wondered why Ivey had such good US rep relative to other Canadian schools, but I remembered an old post from another thread explaining that back in the late 90's ibanks were hiring like crazy and took in some ivey kids.

Well im 100% sure it started because of this woman

she went to ivey and was a recruiter for DLJ from 1999-2001 lol.

She didn't go to Ivey - she went to UWO for Honours Poli Sci. Ivey is part of UWO. Just because someone went to UWO, doesn't mean they went to Ivey.

Way to read no read.

If anything, her finance recruiting experience should be currently at work for Rotman, where she's currently working. And by your logic, her accumulated experience in the field should turn Rotman into a huge target for US schools.

The reason for Ivey's US rep is because some students managed to get themselves into really strong banks during/just before the 90s tech boom. They then became alumni and pushed for other Ivey kids to be considered and over time that network and reputation made Ivey a target (particularly out west) for certain banks.
