Timing of Housing

Does anybody know if there is any downtime between training and full-time employment, specifically for a Chicago office?

The reason I ask is because I'm looking around for some housing options; however, I'm having trouble figuring out the optimal move-in date. My training begins sometime around June/July in NY and I believe I would start working around August. Should I just sign a lease and move-in before I leave for training? In my opinion, I feel like that would be a waste of ~2 months worth of rent.

I would like to move-in as soon as training ends; however, I don't know whether I'll have enough time to move-in to the new apartment at that time. I'm hoping training ends on a Friday and we get the weekend off?

Could you all provide some insight?

Been wondering the EXACT same thing. I've heard that with my firm, FT starts practically the day after training ends. Can any FT analysts provide insight?
