Tips for FTers

Since starting dates are coming up soon I was just thinking - are there some tips people could pass on for those starting full time this summer? Basically the sort of small details and the type of stuff that you wish you had known when starting or whatever since I'm guessing its not quite the same as an internship in that you already have a job and aren't trying to get in. Maybe there aren't any secrets of the trade per se but even personal experiences would be useful. Plz dont post "advice" if you are some sophomore, there must be a few bankers left on this board. Thanks.

Training is in no way fun. It's possibly more stressful then the actual job as they fire poor performers.

Poor performers on the job dont get fired.

...i asked about training on this board a few weeks back and heard one reply similar to runtothehills' and a few that say training is relaxed. not sure whom to believe

For us, analyst training was a lot of work but a vacation compared to the actual job. My suggestion is have a great time, get to know your other fellow first years well, but work hard because they DO pay close attention to everybody's performance during training (at least in my experience).
