tips needed for target sophomore
I recently got an offer to work at a MM investment banking for the spring semester and as a summer analyst - 6 months total. I really want to have a good chunk of IB experience under my belt for summer 2021 - and I realize how crazy it is to be talking about summer 2021 rn. My question is two-fold. I really want to start my career in IB preferably at GS/MS or an Elite Boutique. That being said, I also really want to get into the hedge fund space after IB so my question is, is it better to try for a BB than a boutique? Also, what are the main differences in recruiting when it comes to BB vs Elite Boutique? For context I go to a well-represented target - think Harvard/Yale/Princeton/Penn/Dartmouth/Columbia. I also am a sophomore and have a 3.6 GPA.
Why not just say you go to Dartmouth
^ throw MS at me if you want but no HYP student would ever list those other schools
go to MS/GS/EB with the most alumni who will help you in placement

There isn’t anything special about your profile that you couldn’t have been answered in previous threads. If you’re smart you’ll get to the HF world from any BB/EB so do read up first
