Too Late for IB recruiting?
Hi all, I'm an econ major (3.9 GPA) at a target school, just finished my junior year. I made the realization that I want to land a front office role at any investment bank for a FT role after graduation pretty late into the game— around winter break of my junior year. For this summer, I have an accounting internship lined up to get some hard skills and I'm working for a search fund— that's all I could really secure with 0 finance experience (I have experience in government / nonprofit work... realized that's not what I want to do). Obviously I won't be able to land any FT opportunites for any bulge brackets, but I'm willing to start off low and work my way up. I've started the networking process already at smaller banks. Is it realistically too late to go into investment banking? Any advice?
