From what I know, both BX and GS are still interviewing, have friends doing SA 2024 interviews for them. NY GS hasn't done first rounds at my target yet. People will have offers early due to diversity or acceleration. Also, widening your range to MS, maybe even Citi or HL isn't the worst thing in the world. IB is at some level a numbers game so throw in more applications.

On the topic of taking a year off, no idea if its a good or bad thing. On your resume the recruiters will see you started in your extracurriculars during your freshman year.
