Top 20 Bank vs Reputable Boutique

I have an offer from a bank in the Vault top 20 and from a boutique that specializes in FIG. Location is a big factor, as the top 20 bank is located in Charlotte, although they do have some groups in NY. The boutique is in New York, however I am not particularly interested in FIG. Assuming I like the people at both firms equally and would rather be in NY, is the top 20 bank still a better option over the boutique? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Top 20 bank? Wtf is that. What bank is not described by 'TOP 20'. And Reputable boutique? Can you be any more vague? Why don't you just state the name of the place if you want a true opinion. Btw, I highly doubt that you could consider a regional office the same as the ny office - that's like saying Goldman Idaho is considered a top 5 bb.

Mr. White, calm down bro. I said the bigger banks is in the Vault's top 20 and that the boutique work strictly with financial institutions. The bigger bank is headquartered in Charlotte, so it's not a regional office.

I had to make the same decision a week ago. List out all of the things you are looking for (exit ops, location, culture, deal flow, size, groups, etc. etc.) and compare the two banks. The choice should be pretty clear if you look at it that way. At least it was for me.
