How is Cowen’s reputation in the industry? I worked briefly at Cowen and I can honestly say that I have never encountered more toxic people in my life than I did during my brief time at Cowen. Does anyone have similar experiences or opinions that differ from mine?

When I was networking and interviewing with them my experience was terrible. Out of all the banks they were definitely the worst.
Just anecdotally, someone once told me that bankers there had "unjustified superiority complex"... again, no personal experience with them, but that's what someone related to me.
Which branch and group? Seems like a big generalization to make

OP, how long ago did you work there and in what group/office? I've heard good things about the culture recently.
I've only had a networking phone call with them and definitely not a great experience. Felt like every question I asked was responded with starting with an audible sigh or impatience. Granted, I was a noob at the time, but I don't think my questions were unreasonable...didn't even apply after given my impression from the call..
