Transfered into a top target, don't have a summer internship. Please help!

So I managed to transfer into one of the most prestigious schools in the world....yay me....but now I don't have a summer internship and I don't know what to do. I was so busy adjusting to the new environment that i lost track of time and it seems most of the deadlines have passed me up. I am afraid that I might literally work at McDonalds this summer...

Background information: I am majoring in the humanities and I have an interesting background, although nothing pertinent to the finance industry. Nevertheless, I want to work in the finance industry to develop some useful professional skills. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do? My school's career office has not been at all helpful.
