Transition - Harder to break into typical M&A after a top MBA?
I have a career question. I have been employed in financial consulting offering services related to risk management: illiquid securities and derivative valuation, loan due dilligence, VaR modeling, stress tests etc... I work for a highly respectable global firm and am currently thinking about pursuing an MBA to work in DCM, however I have no idea on how compettitive it is to get into. Is it harder to break into than typical M&A after a top MBA?
Thanks in advance for any responses.
it is not harder than m&a. in fact, you will likely have a much easier time competing for a spot in dcm than m&a, especially if you express a specific interest in dcm during the interview process.
