Two internships at once - conflict of interest?
I'm a rising junior and have secured an internship at a small HF and also have a remote internship with a PE firm. What is the consensus on doing two internships simultaneously? I've signed a CA with the HF and want to get some input from some of the experienced fellows on this forum as to the whether there is a potential conflict of interest?
How are you able to manage two internships at once?
Dunno why the remote internship tho. Is it even legit?
Seems kind of like a high-school internship. Better than nothing, but doesn't really count, lol.
Exactly what I was thinking, don't see the point of being a try hard pulling six internships before junior year lol
It can be an ethical concern. I would recommend talking to both your employers about the issue or just choose one of them. I mean does your contract even let you have another internship?
There isn't any clear indication in the code of ethics or CA on doing another internship. I think you're right that it's best to communicate with both.
2018 or 2019SA?
It dilutes the relevance of both experiences. Any interviewer will ask how you managed to complete two internships at the same time. Think its a big negative, IMO.
I could see that, thanks for the input. The remote PE firm is mostly deal sourcing which isn't difficult to manage. The guy that runs it is very knowledgeable and connected so that's why I'm considering doing both. What do you think?
If I were an interviewer, I'd probably think that neither internship was really serious or worthwhile if you're able to do two at the same time...
Est rem enim tempore dolorum. Hic maxime tenetur tempora possimus sint perferendis. Ad voluptates eveniet optio repellendus quisquam perspiciatis.
