Two questions - What do you make of that?

So I have a PE interview coming up and the MD I'm interviewing with made a strange comment "You're the first person we're interviewing who's father doesn't have 100,000,000 with us." What do you make of that?

Secondly I bullshited my way past reception at a top HF, then past HR and acquired the MD in charge of recruiting's number, what do I do to parlay this to a hire?

On the PE interview: they obviously see something they like, so play the angle that you will work your balls off. However, I was in the exact same situation my freshmen year while trying to get an internship and the MD told me that even though they would have prefered me they didn't really have a choice, so don't let it get you down if you don't get it, sometimes this shit happens
