UBS - Canada

Curious to learn a little bit more about UBS's presence in Toronto?

Does the team have any deal flow and whats the comp and culture like? Believe that the team also has a small office in Montreal that works with some key clients like Garda?

Very smart people, they have deal flow but nothing crazy. If you’re living in Toronto working at UBS in Toronto carries more weight than Living in NY and working at UBS in NY.

They take 2 interns and purposefully only give 1 a return every summer.

"Very smart people" lmao not smart enough to get a single transaction. Cornballs.

Thank you! Any idea what the comp looks like? Have heard that bonuses were terrible in the US but if the TO office is really small and has some deal flow, I guess that the total comp probably comes close to the Big 5?

240K for a second year analyst or associate? If for thats for an analyst its crazy high knowing that this is approx. what you would make as an associate at one of the big five banks? If second years at the big five make 170K we are talking about a 70K difference for probably the same hours which is absurd!
