UBS IBD Offer Dilemma

Hi everyone,

I recently received an offer to join UBS for a SA 2025 IBD role. I'm so so grateful for the offer and all those who helped me get to this point.

That being said, having received the offer, I'm looking to accelerate with other banks and I'm starting to realize I may end up at UBS especially as my offer is soon to expire. I know it's a great place to be in, but I've heard from others that MF/UMM PE exits from UBS are hard to achieve. I'll probably need to consider lateraling for a FT with other banks in time for on cycle.

Any advice on how to approach PE recruiting should I land at UBS? Are there other options I have at the moment?

Thank you all

Great to hear you found an offer! You’re joining a strong bank that’s well respected. Getting to MF is difficult for everyone, but you should have traction with mm and umm groups. A lot of it is also dependent on your deal experience, ability and how prepared you are in your interviews.

Unsure what the recruiting timeline is for other groups, but I’m guessing that unless you are able to get accelerated super day rounds in the next few weeks at other groups, you should be more than fine with the offer you have (not something to be unhappy about).
