Ultimate Guide/Resources to Prepare for IB Summer Analyst

"touch grass" "talk to the opposite sex" "just go crush some beers bro"... alright, we get it, anyone who asks for this type of advice is an incel or virgin. And the reality does seem like getting a return offer is heavily based on if you can get the team to like you. But esp if you're entering a more technical group, I'd imagine it's better to frontload the training and organizational skills to not be rusty and be sharp on Day 0.

Particularly, I hope this thread can be example-oriented with particular resources, strategies, or advice that isn't broad-brushed or generalized. I think identifying key area depths (PPT and Excel are obvious, but what about note-taking, networking during the internship, organizational skills, etc) would be helpful, and then diving into how one can practically get better at it (or at least have a framework for it) before you hit the ground running during the internship. For example, PPT: course #1, plug-in #1, etc. Note-Taking: strategy #1, etc.

While each experience and circumstance is personal, I think having an overview of all the key areas we should be keeping in the front of our mind, as well as specific strategies to go about getting better at them, would be super helpful for this community.

Any contributions are appreciated :) thanks a lot!
