My views on culture and exits are probably outdated by now. Re hiring...it's one the very few groups on the street that rarely (if ever) hires laterals. SA and summer Assoc are the 2 ways to recruit with them.

Okay team at MS. A lot of process work. Not the same as NYC MS M&A. A tier below M&C and HC. Recent exits haven't been the best in comparison to to other teams (StonePeak, Verdane, Summit Partners).
Everything in Europe is so shit on a relative basis that it's depressing. London is sadly not an exception to that rule because 0 MF exits (except Stonepeak if its infra ig) for what's supposed to be one of London's top groups, even in a shitty market, is concerning. And yes it's still a top group in London, your reputation doesn't just die in 1-2 years unless you lose every single rainmaker and/or your bank just fucking dies like CS.
I don't disagree but I think you're massively overestimating the amount of new MF seats available in London / EU every year. Also other recent exits from MS M&A are to Starwood, Dragoneer, KKR, GIP. So not all that bad
