US IB to Canada IB

I know this heading may come off stupid but I was just wanting to ask, is it weird to want to go to Toronto for IB?

I originally grew up in a suburb close to Toronto and have been wanting to go back some way or the other. I’m guessing pay is less but COL would relatively be less compared to NY/SF/LA.

If its possible to recruit as a US citizen, what banks are strongest in Toronto and could possibly take students like me?
