In terms of NYC placement from USC I’m not familiar so I can’t comment, but USC is known to have one of the strongest global alumni networks, so networking into a role in NYC is very doable.

That being said, I assume that there are number of programs that would offer you a higher probability of placing in NYC. To answer with certainty would require some clarifying questions, but in short, USC is a great program with a fantastic alumni network, and it is very possible to place in NYC. Congrats on the scholarship.

Full disclosure; I chose USC Marshall over washu, BC, colgate, Cornell (late off waitlist so didn’t really consider) last year and just like you I wanted and continue to want to work in NYC IB after grad. I’ll say this- from what I hear around campus around 30-35 kids Marshall kids get BB offers in NYC. Several more go into REPE and VC firms out there. You have to remember with these numbers though that most USC kids want to work in LA or SF, where USC is a solid target amongst Berkeley Haas, Stanford. Most go into consulting and accounting as well so there is less competition. Are there better schools for NYC, absolutely-Wharton, Duke, NYU stern, Princeton so if your dead set on NYC and that’s all you have ever wanted go to one of those. If you won’t get a 3.8+ at USC, or don’t have strong connections and a network East then u probably won’t make it. But if u want to have the best 4 years of ur life surrounded by the hottest girls in the US going to nationally recognized football games (we play Alabama week 1)- then fight the fuck on. Also don’t forget how much a scholarship is going to help down the line not having to worry about student loans.

So short answer- semi-target for NYC, #1target for LA, target for SF. I chose to make my decision off of how much I thought I would enjoy my college experience while still giving myself a great shot for any BB in the country. Hope this helps and choose new north dorms over McCarthy if u do attend

I would say probs around 10 go to NYC each year and around 30ish in LA/SF
