VP in Commercial Banking or Analyst in IB
Which would you pick and would be better with a 5 years trajectory? Pay is the same between the two. The commercial banking role covers middle market clients. So around 200 - 500mil revenue. Analyst role is at a MM bank but very strong coverage team and top 5 on league table.
Is this for jpm mmbsi? Do u know what base and bonus is for VP?
120k base, 20% - 30% bonus I believe
I mean if u want to chill and make decent but not get rich money then go CB route. If u make VP in IB at the MM u will be making like 4x what u would make in CB
Would you mind sharing what the starting comp looks like for an entry level credit analyst in mid market commercial (5-20M loan sizes) at a big bank in a major city?
Surely its COL adjusted?
~$150k all in is dog shit for VP lmao
You think commercial banking would pay higher? This is in Chicago btw.
VP in middle market banking pays ~150k? that can’t be true, gotta be at least 200k at a major bank
I think you’re thinking of Corp banking which has a diff pay structure

No this is correct. Commercial platform pays that low.
