Hey guys
How is Wachovia's Fixed Income trading platform? Is it a solid place to learn? In general, I've heard that trading floors are all similar in certain ways, but I'm mostly interested in learning as much as possible this summer.
Also, how is Wachovia's M and A group (based in NYC) - one of the better middle markets? I received an offer to both IBD and S and T for them, and am weighing options.

Unless it was a specific trading offer for S&T it is extremely hierarchical in terms of trying to get a trading job there. If you are hired for sales it is nearly impossible to get to trading in less than a full year and there aren't many opportunities to prove yourself. Some legit trading groups there centered around a few stars.
