any thoughts on their media and telecom group or FSG?
Charlotte. They're headquartered there, so it's probably best to go where the majority of their operations are.
I would agree with aloki. It also depends on what group you go into as some are busier than others. I am not sure what their busiest group is but I know that FIG, tech, and RE do a lot of deals.

The Wachovia NYC office only houses a couple groups - most of the action is in Charlotte.
I know someone in banking at Wachovia who does most of their work in Charlotte, occasionally they will travel to New York, but most of the time is in Charlotte.
The SF M&A group has been really busy lately
tick w/ Charlotte. If you don't like your SA at Wachovia, you can try and leverage it up to NY banks. I would also advise against Wachovia's SF office - they're hardly a player in Tech or HC on the West Coast. You'll gain more experience in Charlotte.
