Waitlisted or what's up?

I had a final round BB interview around 3 weeks ago but hasn't yet received an offer. I heard some people have received offers (few days after AC) and I know people who already got their post-AC rejection. I have been in touch with the HR and was told that I am still being considered for the position but they have no news for me as of yet. Wondering if this is a case of waitlisted, waiting for next year deal flow or slow process.

Would be great if someone can advise my position, pretty desperate right now

I don't know for sure, I believe it's more like the people who did the first round with you had a higher score and they are keeping you to compare with those who will do the first round in the next batch. If you don't make it I guess they will eventually reject you. At least MS is quite good with getting back to candidates, from what I know everyone gets a definitive answer

Unlikely that's the case, pretty sure this firm has concluded their interview process (no more first round / final round batches). So I guess they're just keeping me in case the people at the top rejected the offer.

My HR has been pretty much reassuring me that I am still on track for the position just that she doesn't have any news for me as of yet.

Yeah sounds like what you are saying is the most likely scenario. This recruiting year has been shit so you gotta grit it out
