Wells Fargo a B.B.?
It seems that WSO database has included WF in the same category as other BBs – is it actually considered a BB in the eye of the public?

When I think of a BB banks, I think of banks with giant balance sheets. I’m pretty sure Wells is around the top 5 in the US in that catergory.
While I don’t consider Wells the same caliber as a GS, JPM, MS, Citi, or CS.
I don’t see that big of a difference between Wells, RBC, UBS, Deutshe.

Fully agree, most of the league tables would agree as well.
In terms of balance sheet, yes. In terms of IB/S&T deal size and fees, etc., not yet. But, they are rapidly growing.
What also hurts them is their HQ being in SF, not NYC. But, they are moving into the new Hudson Yards in NYC next year.
Wells and RBC are ones that I see growing into BB within the next 5 years. They also pay on par with other BBs
While true for their corporate HQ, WF IBD HQ is in Charlotte.
again my point, not in NYC
