Wells fargo hires head of Healthcare services and Technology MD from Barclays and Citigroup
Tom drake who was the previously head of Barclay's Healthcare Services and Chris Norman who was a Citigroup MD will both be joining Wells Fargo.
It is great to see Wells commitment to growing their IBD and I'm curious if they can make enough effect to really increase M&A activity in the future.
TD is awful, literally the most brutal senior banker to work with. Feel bad for those WF analysts who are about to have their souls taken from them.
Speaking from experience? Curious to hear any stories.
Oh god, don’t want to say too much but literal horror stories.
One of the worst was that he made a team work ~2 days in a row in the office without sleep. The junior analyst on that team quit shortly after.
Jesus
Also, while on paper these hires look good, the 2 Barc HC hires WF made were not viewed as being rainmakers/doing actual deals.
Would you say since WF healthcare is bare bones this addition isn't that meaningful?
Re: Chris Norman. Generally well-liked, good with clients too. Definitely takes care of his people.
