WF changing office after summer

I will be interning at WF this summer in a group that is split between nyc and Charlotte. Does anyone have experience in changing offices after receiving a FT offer?

Seen a lot of people make the switch after their summer. Some groups are more receptive to it than others.

Work at WF - Can confirm it is very doable and groups are very open to you moving geography in the same group and to a different group. I personally did this and didn't face any backlash or difficulty. Do note though - moving from CLT to NYC is a very desired move for SAs and it can be competitive. Your best bet is to kill it within your group, build a good rep with the NY team and talk to your development officer at the 3/4 point of the summer about it. The better you are the more likely the move will be.

I haven't seen this with associates but I haven't known any who tried to make the move either so I would imagine it isn't impossible. I would, however, imagine it would be more difficult for associates as there are fewer summer associates than summer analysts in many groups and thus less spots for associates to potentially move into vs analysts. I would kill the first half of the summer and discuss with your development officer. Wells would rather you move within the firm then lose you and their investment in you.
