WF - Prep For Group Placement?

Accepted an offer for WF NY IBD for Summer 2025. Does anyone have any insights into the group placement process and how to do well to get the group you want and are most interested in?

Hearing the process is different this year as they gave out offers specifically for a city, so that won't be something to worry about during placement.

Formerly with Wells - Be proactive and network with the Associates / Analysts (in order of importance) for the groups you're interested in. In the end, you will rank your top groups, each group will rank the interns, and then it's up to the staffers to allocate. Good luck

Also an incoming NYC '25 intern. Do you have any insights on when we will hear anything from HR or hear anything in general in regards to group placement?

Haven't heard a single thing since I accepted the offer.
