What banks should I target? Need advice.

Hello WSO, I am a freshman at a semi-target (not entirely, but good reputation B school) and have been reaching out to analysts at different banks. I am in Boston, so when setting up networking calls, I have been calling local analysts in the hopes of meeting them this summer to further the relationship. Should I continue to target the smaller shops, or go for the BB's and Elite boutiques? Also, I'd rather not spend time in Boston, so is it time to start reaching out to folks in NY/Chicago? Thanks.

Sounds like you're at BU. Some BBs offer sophomore internships, extremely competitive to get into and recruiting is usually later (think late summer/early fall). Cast a wide-net, why not? You never know. Boutiques, BBs, MMs, anything... Best of luck!
