What do the top freshman do for internship during their summers/academic years and how to achieve it?

Boutique IB? Search fund? MM PE fund? I've heard that some even have BB ib offers straight out of freshman year. How is that even possible without (very high amounts of) nepotism? Trying to find a game plan for spring/summer. Any advice would be appreciated.

get laid and also LMM/MM PE. Gotta network hard and have good credentials though (unless it’s a family connection). I was told by most of the firms that that they only gave me the time of day because of perfect gpa, top school, and unique/strong extracurriculars (for a freshman)
