What do you know about ABN AMRO in NYC? Do they have a good IB team? What should you expect working there? Good exit opportunities?

Going to be super unhelpful but responding to bump the conversation.

I didn't know they even had an IB team. Coming from a bank with a garbage tier IB platform that plays beneath its balance sheet lending platform, I never hear about them. Which means it probably isn't great unless it's crushing a niche. Exits would be entirely dependent on that niche. This is largely the case across euro banks in the US, even much bigger players like BNP. Typically that niche is infrastructure/project finance which is dominated by J banks, French banks and ING. Rabobank has agribusiness, so wouldn't be shocked if ABN had something.

On the whole, it's a small bank. Only know one guy there (in Corp banking/Loan capital markets). And, he's happy with the career progression, the pay scale, and the culture.
