Still a student, but I could easily imagine myself living in Copenhagen, Denmark or Stockholm, Sweden. I loved living in those cities for the little time that I did, but I can't imagine that the finance would be very lucrative in Scandinavia.
Yeah, both are great cities from what I've heard. Very livable and the fact that most speak english in either of those cities is also a plus. However, the taxes and COL would be the downside.
The COL isn't as bad as expected. They get a lot of help in return for their high taxes so it balances out pretty well. Everyone who lives there that I know regards it as a pretty good deal.
That said, I always prefer choosing how to spend my money to the majority of it going to taxes that I don't have any input on.

(spent a lot of time in the first two already, great places).
I personally wouldn't want to live in Dubai, even if I had all the money in the world. Everything is so new and there's no history, it's all just insanely over the top nouveau riche types. Abu Dhabi would be better in that regard, but I guess Dubai is the only real world-class city in the Arab world that comes to mind.
I've heard very good things about Vancouver, other than the atrocious cost of housing. Anyone have any experience of it?
