What is going on with Centerview Healthcare?
Feels like every day Centerview is announcing another multi-billion dollar healthcare deal? Where is this domination coming from?
2023 Alone
- Seagen/Pfizer - $45bn
- Prometheus/Merck - $11bn
- Oak Street/CVS - $3bn
- Bellus/GSK - $2bn
- CinCor/AstraZeneca - $2bn
- Chiesi/Amryt - $2bn
- Amerisource/OneOncology - $2bn
Their partners such as Alan Hartman, Mark Robinson, and others. Were heavy weights at bulge bracket firms before moving to Centerview and have continued being on a tear. Not sure which partners were responsible for those deals but they an incredibly strong healthcare practice in general
Seems like while other HC IB coverage groups have been battling over their relationships with the big pharma players for the buy-side mandates (there have got to be 10 banks talking to Pfizer, AZ, Merck, etc. at any given point...), CVP has been focusing on their relationships with the sell-side instead. Pretty smart strategy.
Good team
My prayers are with centerview HC analysts
+ Provention / Sanofi - $3bn
Hence Tokat was named co-President of the firm. Seagen and Prometheus were his deals, he possibly had more from that list
Literally no idea why this is being given MS. This is true
Lmao I'm getting MS for this when it is 100% true...huh?
This has been called out multiple times on the last few posts this person / group of accounts has made. to the CVP intern/analyst who keeps posting these: Please stop spamming WSO every week with CVP hype posts. It’s extremely cringe and the same 3 accounts comment the same thing about Tokat or whatever.
edit: a few days later I get 2 MS thrown at this comment, almost immediately one after the other. I wonder how that could happen 🤔
OP is a verified 2nd year analyst and there were three posts in total probably. Are the centerview interns in the room with us now?

Yes, congrats to all 4 of his WSO accounts!
+1 MS, inaccurate
where is this DOMINATION COMING FROM???????
head of their group is known to be the best healthcare banker
+ Bellus $2B
+ iveric bio $5.9bn
It's unbelievable - does anyone know about their lateral hiring process?
Loool following.
Add in CTI (1.5bn) and Syneos (7.5bn) for casual week.I mean Jesus, does anyone have an approximation on their total deal value or fees so far this year? They may be in the 9 figures in terms of fees and q2 isn't even close to over.
Pfizer / Seagen alone pushed them over 9 figures
It's right in the proxy it was 8 figures...
Three deals make up almost a quarter of a billion dollars in fees: Seagen ($88M), Prometheus ($70.5M) and Oakstreet ($79M)
edit: someone please tell me why this is getting MS. These numbers are publicly available in 14A filings
Another announced today. Syneos Health for $7.1bn, co-advisor with BofA
Smh, you are the problem
