What is the best financial data provider to become proficient at (Bloomberg, Factset, Refinitiv, CapIQ, etc.)?
My school offers access to different financial data providers and I was wondering which would be best to learn. I will also be doing an internship with heavy focus on research and would appreciate any insight as to which i should focus on.
If heavy focus on research use Bloomberg extensively as it has the most detailed breakdown of useful data (company-level financials and forecasts, macro, forward curve, inflation rate, commodity pricing, Fed forecasted rate cuts, etc.) whilst CapIQ and Factset are just usually used to pull company financials in a quicker manner and build comps, etc.
I would focus on Bloomberg and just get familiar with CapIQ and FactSet interface (where to find certain data, etc.)
