What is the industry opinion on non-finance MSc grads?
Currently doing my undergrad degree in physics and considering master’s prospects.
I will be applying to MSc Finance programmes but am also considering non-finance programmes as well (maybe engineering/mathematics/physics, purely out of my own academic interests).
If I were to pursue one of the above non-finance degrees, how is this perceived by recruiters in IB? To me, a concern is that a recruiter would question (subconsciously/verbally) why I didn’t pursue an MSc Finance if I was truly passionate about the industry as this is a super common route in Europe.
