I searched the site to see if this has already been posted, didn't see anything.

Took the test, I ranked 1. Global Investment Research, Operations, Human Capital Management. Oddly enough, I'm in research, hate operations and don't care for HR
Mine was: 1. Tech 2. GIR 3. Securities
Tech was most likely 1 because it was my major and didn't seem to budge from #1 to #14
And ER is where I want to get to but I'm in legal which was like one of my last.
GIR, Investment Banking, Investment Management.
Sounds good enough.
Securities GIR Executive Office
Wooooo where's my job Lloyd?
Just so long as no one gets Equities in Dallas.
I don't know what happened :'(
i don't understand...how can they ascertain if you'd be good at HR without questions such as 'do you like being useless?' or 'you heard on the grape vine that susie from accounts is pregnant, do you: a) go gossip about it; b) spend all day on IM gossiping about it; or c) look up suise's profile to remind yourself who she is, then go gossip?'
Results: (INTP - the architect) 1. Global Investment Research 2. Executive Office 3. Legal 4. HCM .....huh?
On a side note, my non target had a huge presence, go figure. GS has been rejecting me for years. Not feelin' the love maaaan
Took the test and all it spit out was "BSD".
What office is that?
Banking Supervision Department
Securities Finance Merchant Banking
Securities
Global Investment Research
Finance
Sounds about right, imo.
securities global investment research investment banking
accurate i suppose
I found #1 fitting (and encouraging) - that's where I'm looking to career-change into while getting my MBA.
If you can't figure out how to use the browser, do you get an auto-promote to MD?
1.Services 2.Global Investment Research 3.Executive Office
not accurate enough i think, or just not what i expected.
Entertaining. I'm not exactly sure how they come up with the results, but my guess is that the school you select and major has a LOT to do with it. I made myself an economics major from Harvard just for kicks...
1) Investment Banking 2) Investment Management 3) Global Investment Research
I actually put in the community college I attended for a semester (after recovering from the shock that it was actually listed) and the screen went blank. True story.
was it a non target community college?
Semi-target. Had OCR for bank sanitation services and building maintenance. A couple guys even networked into print shop.
I put in a super non-target and got HR, GIR, and IM. I don't know how HR is so closely related to the other two, doesn't really make sense to me. That said, those are the three things I am most interested in (not that I plan on pursuing it for a career), so maybe there's some accuracy to this?
it seems i've made a serious mistake:
tech global investment research securities
.... and im in corp fin
Top matches
Being a trader, and would do nothing else, I can confirm this test isn't 100% accurate
My Result:
true story
HR, Ops, and GIR lawls
Global Investment Research Human Capital Management Executive Office
GIR Executive Office HR
...
GIR, Finance and Compliance.
Executive Office (i.e. corprate strategy) was mid-pack and I'm a consultant.
IB, Investment Management and Merchant Banking were the bottom 3, and I'm going into PE.
Ha, Lloyd must be short HR staff, trying to shoo more people in that direction.
1 Tech 2 Ops 3 HCM
Haha I am going into IBD...
securities, finance, gir. Not surprised at all given that I want to be a trader..
Anyone actually get IBD as their #1?
Technology Finance Internal Audit
Pretty much reversed from what I thought I was but...I can live with it.
it told me chief operating orangutan of online finance community that helps people get jobs and internships at the goldman sachs
Securities, finance, GIR.
I can't read.
1.)Internal Audit 2.)Compliance 3.)Legal
hmmm
Global Investment Research Investment Management Investment Banking
Where do I sign?
Does this work on a mac?
lol HR Ops Services
interesting test.
Also, I'm sure many of you took the Myers-Briggs personality type "test" before. I score an INTJ on that....curious what other people here get.
1) Services 2)Executive Office 3) Human Capital
Looks good to me.
Great link btw, much appreciated.
Fairly accurate I suppose. I'm curious as to how they developed those questions
First two are fairly accurate. My northern European school had 10+ employees.
Anyone been to the London School of 'Econonomics' and Political Science? LOOL Even GS makes errors ;)
I feel like they're trying to tell me something...
I got 1) Investment Banking 2) Merchant Banking 3) Investment Management
I'm looking to get into ibanking too, that's legit
