What to make of this - First round interview at a hedge fund
Had a first round interview at a hedge fund a week ago and meet with 2 guys. One guy I met with (basically head of the group), said during the interview that he def wants to bring me in for second round. Its been a week and I havent heard from the fund, I emailed him directly and got no response. Is there anything I can do? I don't understand why he would say one thing and not follow up on it.
IMO there is no way to know exactly why. He could have simply been swamped and hasn't got around to it, or he could have found somebody else. It is good that you emailed, if you have his phone number I would even call. I think you should certainly try and follow up on it (without being too pushy).
it is earnings season and things can get hairy with trying to keep up with everything, stick with it and call if you don't get an email response within a day
