What type of people thrive in Investment Banking?

I’m in investment banking. Personality wise- anyone can if they’re dedicated and won’t be too stressed out by stress. There will be stress, but the MDs/VPs make or break life. Find a boss who isn’t a perfectionist (aka didn’t start at analyst and never leave banking ever working their way all the way to MD). 20-40 turns vs 5-10 turns on a book is the difference in life and misery. Find a good culture. Otherwise, be miserable and either really dedicated or really stupid crazy for the namesake of it. I’m fortunate- my boss isn’t anal retentive at all. Other bosses I know are. To me, he recognizes being perfectly precise with really pretty stuff isn’t how you win business, it’s the ideas and ability to be someone who knows how to anticipate/respond to all client questions verbally. I respect that philosophy of his few others in this industry actually share. https://solitaire.cam/ https://9apps.ooo/
