What will bonuses look like this year for analysts? Any effect from COVID? How accurate is this video?

Curious what bonuses are looking like for analysts, especially with COVID and for those of you who got it back in the summer or are going to get it in 2 months. Do you think it will be affected by COVID? Will it be about the same across the street? This video was posted this year by an investment banking analyst and she says bonuses of 70-100% but seems a bit high to me especially during COVID? I've heard of analysts in BB getting closer to 50k this year but want to hear what you guys think and whether that's accurate or just an outlier.

Lmao firstly the video was recommended to me, and secondly I'm genuinely curious if people are getting such high bonuses this year given COVID

70% is pretty standard at BB's. You really only tend to see 100% on the EB side. But to answer your question: I expect bonuses to be broadly flat this coming year, assuming BB/EB/large MM, vs. smaller shops that may not be as insulated or have the resources to bounce back as quickly. Don't think analysts will see much effect from COVID. My bank actually outperformed in the last two quarters since the initial wave in Q1/Q2.

Interesting, so is 70% the bonus for first year analysts, or for second and third years? Also, would that be for a top performing analyst, or just an average? Suppose a 70% bonus off an 85k base would result in ~60k.
