What's going on with the WSJ?

As a student, one of the pieces of advice almost everyone would give is to read the WSJ as often as possible.

So okay, I decided to take their advice, but most of the frontpage WSJ is garbage. One of the biggest deals of the year - Nippon Steel acquiring US steel - got 90 comments, meanwhile Trump making a post on Truth Social would get 3k or 4k comments. Most of their front page stuff has nothing to do with business or finance and is just US politics or commentary on the actions of Pres. Biden as well as the former president (or advertising Nikki Haley). Obviously on certain days there is good content, or you can go look in some dark corner of WSJ for some economic/financial analysis which is gonna get a few thousand views and 3 comments, but why can't the administrators actually post business/finance content on the front page. And why do people subscribe if they only care about Biden's latest gaffe or Trump's rants on truth social?

Lil bro saw “Wall Street” in the name and thought it was going to be about which M&A advisor just got passed on the league tables or advised on a $500m Midwest industrials transaction.

It’s a fucking news network lol. But on a serious note I find the content they post most interesting and use it as entertainment when I’m bored at work (maybe it’s just the clean UX compared to other “financial” networks like BBG or FT).

Obviously the big political/national news is going to get a lot more attention that niche finance announcements.
