When do we expect to return to offices in NY?

Any news for when people expect to be fully back in offices mandatory? Have heard rumblings that a few places are planning “phase-in” schedules circa September where people are able to work at some % capacity (say 30-40%) of the office, but still somewhat on a voluntary basis.

What have you all been told?

I can confirm this, my bank is doing the same but expects to phase in about 50% of employees in October as long as things continue to get better in NYC.

Citi says they'll give us a 60 day notice and we still haven't gotten the notice yet, which mean's it'll most likely be early October at the earliest

This is for NYC btw

Right now my bank has less than 500 people in NY (predominantly traders), and has made no mention whatsoever of the rest of the population returning. I don’t think I’ll be back until 2021.

From roommates and other friends who are mostly still WFH: tentative September for firmwide but tentative and subject to change (voluntary). I do know that the trading floors for Barclays and GS were about 20% capacity this month, but a lot of them have been able to execute our trades/maintain current client demands just fine from home.

For non-traders, I'd expect very late 2020 or early 2021 unless the situation escalates again. Some banks are being more aggressive than others, and pushing people to come back earlier, but idk if that will really last.
