When To Say "Referred From" In Email Subject Lines
I know this might seem like a really trivial question, but given how important appearances and minute details are in banking, I wanted to be safe and ask.
If a person that you've had a ~20 minute coffee chat with says, "you can talk to xyz person to learn more," but doesn't specify if you can use their name as leverage, are you allowed to say "Referred From ____" in the subject line of the email?
I've had multiple instances where I have decently good calls that have ended this way––I'm just wondering what the standard protocol is or what people who have experience on the other end think. I'm scared of ruffling feathers but I know that having "Referred From ___" within the subject line increases my response rate. Any advice is appreciated!
Send a thank you email and ask if you can be referred to who they spoke about. If you actually were viewed as a good candidate they will forward you over to the referral.
