Where Should I Go From Here?

Goal: M&A Analyst upon graduation

Status: University of Maryland, College Park Cum GPA: 3.65 Majors: Finance and Economics Internship Experience: Presently @ Morgan Stanley (Finance Intern - Brokerage and Clearing Division) Leadership positions: Economics tutor, academic mentor, chair for academic fraternity

If I want to meet my goal, what's the next internship I should look for? I assume that applying to the IB division of MS would probably be too big a jump. I think I need something in between my internship now and an IB internship with a BB, right?

Any suggestions on what my next internship should be in... perhaps capital markets or consulting?

Thanks, FTang

Umm.. if your goal is IBD, the "next step" is to apply for an IBD internship. Capital markets and consulting aren't "lower" jobs that are stepping stones to IBD; they are completely different. There's no "prerequisites" to applying for an IBD internship... you don't need to work your way up before being allowed to apply for the position.
