which banks have coverage groups?
coverage groups will do both M&A and ECM right. what banks have this, it sounds very attractive

Coverage groups will be responsible for Client management and typically work with the specific teams to have provided the services the clients need. Some banks will have their Coverage desk do some of the modeling and maybe even some of the work of a product group like buy-side M&A Mergers and inquisitions has a great article describing the differences
I dunno about ECM, but GS and Barclays both do M&A within their coverage groups. I've heard the RE group at MS does their own M&A too.
