Which Internship? - IB SA

So far, I've done summer internships for a real estate investment firm and an Asset Management firm.

Goal: IB SA next summer

Which internship should I do in the fall?

Choices: (very) boutique IB, UBS/ML/MS PWM, US Treasury (Office of International Banking and Securities), The Fed (Research and Statistics, Monetary and Financial Studies)

Thanks in advance.

or depends on your class-load. if you only have to take minimum credits and can still graduate on time, i'd do the boutique ib.

but also take into convenience. which firm is closer, the pay.

Thanks for the help, guys. Shit...I got an offer from a boutique IB this summer, but turned it down for an asset management position because it paid higher. I guess I shouldn't have done that. haha

drexelalum11I'm going to disagree and say you should do the Fed. It will be a somewhat differentiating factor, and I'd rather hire someone who knows how to think; excel is easy enough to learn.

It won't matter that much though - you have plenty of work experience, that box is checked; it is the rest of your package that will determine how you do in recruiting.

Agreed the fed by far. Probably way more interesting stuff. You will have a network in the academic environment that you could possibly reach back to later. Then do banking in the summer.
