Rigorous program within UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan-Flager?

Hello all,

I hope everyone's day is great! I had a quick question regarding UNC-Chapel Hill. From my understanding, many undergraduate schools have specific programs within their business undergrad school that a large percentage of that program's cohort places into BB IB jobs

For example, I don't remember the specifics, but I know there is a Florida undergrad school that has a program that accepts around, let's just say, 100 kids, and after every test, the lowest 25% gets cut from the program. On top of this, there is rigorous preparation that ends up with most of the cohort placing into any firm where they dominate kids from the ivies in technicals, skills, etc. I don't remember the name of this program, however, I wanted to know if UNC-Chapel Hill had anything similar, more in-depth than just their Kenan-Flager business school.

Keep in mind most of the groups at KF are very self-selective. They don’t necessarily get kids in, but those who are proactive and join these groups tend to also do well in recruiting. Top ones I would mention are Reynolds Fund and the Private Equity Fund (junior year after obtaining a SA offer), and less so the Portfolio Management Team. Everyone does the Investment Banking Boot Camp. I would also note that the selective consulting clubs (180 Degrees Consulting and Consult Your Community) tend to host talent and a few members end up in finance and place well.

There is no IBW equivalent at UNC if thats what you're asking. You get what you put in from UNC in terms of recruiting. However, much of the recruiting runs directly through fraternities/sororities if anything which makes it a headache if you don't come from that background
