Who are the decision makers in an M&A?
Hello everyone,
I understand M & A is often done by the executives/ Corp dev/ and IB.
I am interested in M&A but I am unsure if any of these paths are for me. In your experience are there any other departments of a company that help decide to acquire a company? Operations to spot synergies? the Marketing team?
Thanks
Corporate strategy maybe. It really depends on the organization structure at the firm. However, usually regular employees outside of the deal team won’t be involved due to confidentiality considerations
