Why are my cold emails forwarded

Hey got a quick question.

My mailtracker says my emails are being opened anywhere from 3, 4, sometimes 6-7 times. Do bankers forward it to recruiters? others who are free to talk? or are you guys just reading it 5 times over because you love my writing skills?

Where do my emails ultimately end up and is it kept track of? Will it ever help me besides just getting potential contacts? Thanks.

Definitely a thing. I remember we were running a lateral process a couple years ago and started getting a bunch of resumes. Some overzealous analyst sent us a pitch deck on why we should hire them. You can bet your ass that the presentation was sent to basically everyone on the floor and everyone had a good laugh. Note to future lateral candidates, it is possible to try too hard for a job.

Don't worry about it. The way that your email tracker is coded is an embedded file in the email, and every time it loads, it assumes that the email is being read. So if Outlook or whatever email service the receiver is using loads the email / refreshes, it'll trigger a notification. I've used email tracking CRMs where if the email gets duplicated or forwarded, I'd get quadruple the notifications in the 10 to 30 range. Just depends on how it's coded.
