Why don't bankers breathe?

Why is it that bankers tend to talk really fast and it almost sounds like they aren't stopping to take a breath. My accounting professor does this too. When I talk I tend to breathe deeply with pauses or when I'm thinking. When I'm on networking calls with alumni I've continually noticed it sounds like they never breathe or pause. I first saw Matan Feldman doing this in his Wall Street Prep lectures but now I'm seeing it a lot more. I'm curious what the cause is.

Anyone able to explain this?

Our bodies have adapted to the overwhelming pressure of out work and allowed us to snythesise our oxygen from coffee, nicotine and permanent ketosis. You cannot possibly comprehend the biological power any ordinary banker wields. We are more than mortal, less than divine. We are Bankers.

...and the Truth shall set you free

This. I’m actually working on slowing down and communicating effectively. I’ve found the best deal makers talk slowly and deliberately.

I come here when I'm bored....

My guess is overlearning; when you do a great deal of work on something, you actually consume less oxygen because your brain doesn't have to exert the same level of energy for a certain output. Overlearning is huge for athletes.

It's like talking about something you're passionate about; when you've thought about it enough that you know it forwards and backwards, you don't have to think as much.
